The semester is ending..which means my cell is coming to an end as well. What can i say bout cell this semester, other than the fact that it had surprized me on many occassion. When cell first started, i was very skeptical about it.Manly because they was only 6-8 of us in the cell. There wasnt a lively atmosphere......and it was also a mix of culture from around the world(Africa,Germany,Australia,Malaysia,America,Dubai,India and the likes) which means i have to be careful with what i say or do as i may accidentally offend someone.I felt like going to prison...i really dislike being in a place where i just cant be me.Unlike my ex-cell,i can freely be me...because i know everyone in the cell well..and i know i'm accepted for who iam.The second most uncomfortable thing in this semester cell was my tattoo.I get comments like "isnt it wrong to get a tattoo","i think its against the bible to have a tattoo","why a dragon?isnt a symbol of evil or the devil","Are you gonna remove it?".And many of this comments stung like hell, but i always manage to pull a smile and excuse myself from the conversation. Most of them just judge me by what they see.I dont blame them, afterall what they say is true.....and that is also why i always stick with Da yong in cell bcos he is the only 1 that truely know me for who i am... and not judge me by what he sees. But over the semester, i tried talking to them,(and also completely not showing my tattoo at all cost), and i discover another side to the cell.I found out they were actually very friendly people and not all of them are judgemental.Take for example Julia, she's from America and is interested in going for missions. She's probably one of the few that has a very good sense of humour and is really interesting to hang out with.Fenny.....well....she's cool,a dancer....and er...i look to her as a mum, always giving advice, and correcting mistakes. She's hell funny at times.Than there's Peter and Vips, my leaders and the musical dual, always singing whenever they have a chance.Erin is also a funny girl..and i find her easy to get along with.Jacqueline from africa is definitely the coolest in cell. She's 29 yrs old but doesnt act like 1.Her smiles just makes my day,and she's always positive about everything. After awhile, cell became something i look forward to again.God opened up my eyes and let me see the good beyond the bad.It started out hard, like every other things, but when you let God in,every other thing becomes easier.Afterall, dependance on God is another word for power.
